I fell in love with Montana in the spring of 1977. I came to this area
with my husband Tom, and my son, Graham. We spent the following winter in
Tom
Miner Basin
. This was an adventure of a lifetime for us. We experienced many
firsts, for our young family. We moved to
Paradise Valley in the spring of
1978. Graham attended first grade at a very small, and very different,
Arrow-
head
School
. In 1981 our second son, Taylor, was born and our family was
complete. I live on Mill Creek with my husband and two dogs, both of our sons
live in
Bozeman , and I still love Montana !

    I began my career at
Arrowhead School , with my son Taylor, in the fall
of 1987. Chapter I aide was my title at the time. These were the years of
pulling students out of their regular classrooms, and working with them based
on their particular needs. I still get to work with students, one on one,
when my schedule permits. This is very rewarding to me. Children make
significant progress in many areas and these triumphs will often enhance
their self – esteem and their attitude toward school in general. My main
focus for the past fifteen years has been teaching arts & crafts to the
elementary students. In the past two years I have had the pleasure of working
with middle school students. Art is a passion for me. I am constantly
challenging myself, as well as our students.

Arrowhead School is a learning place for all, students and teachers
alike. Over my many years, I too, have been an active learner. I have
attended professional development in the areas of reading, writing, math and
family involvement, to name a few. This past summer I took an online math
class to help comply with NCLB. I will always take advantage of learning
opportunities offered to me, that I may pass this knowledge along to our
students. The joy of making a difference in the life of a child is the reason
I continue my role at
Arrowhead School . As our year progresses, please stop
by and view your child’s art, our halls will be filled with spectacular and
unique work. Enjoy!
